May 21st - FRISCO, TEXAS - Welcome back to!!! May 21st was a great start in our effort to make sports cards and memorabilia collecting “local” again. A special thanks to the 131 collectors attending the show and the dealers that donated to our favorite charity,!

The sold out show had an incredible selection. Walking around one could find rare high end sportscards such as a 1952 Topps PSA graded Mickey Mantle, 1951 Bowman PSA graded Mantle Rookie and a super rare 1968 Nolan Ryan Rookie (only one of nine, none better) Mint BVG 9, graded by ‘The King of Cards’”, Beckett and valued at $24,500. One dealer displayed a rare Greenback 1909 T206 Ty Cobb with 6 more original T206 Ty Cobbs and thousands of pre-war and vintage cards. For the newer collectors, on display was multiple 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookies and next to it $50,000 in graded Stephen Curry rookies.

Those attending were also able to pick from a large variety of authenticated autographed cards, premium unopened boxes, vintage cards for set builders and blowout deals for bargain hunters.

One customer walked out with what appeared to be a car full of unopened vintage non-sport cards! He found the bargain when his wife asked for a little more time next door at the Stonebriar Mall

shopping… She was sure to be pleasantly surprised when she picked him up to find his new treasure!

In total $333 was donated for the local charity dedicated to building a living center for ALS patients and hopefully more people now are aware of the need for an ALS Living Center in the Dallas area

Everyone contributing to the charity organization was handed a basketball card of Dallas Maverick Dirk Nowitzki. Thanks to our friends at of Arlington, Texas for donating several hundred cards of the future Hall-of-Famer!

A handful of vintage and rookie cards were also donated by local dealers. Erik and Eli Stewart pulled a 1998/99 Black Diamond Dirk Nowitzki Rookie graded “Gem Mint” BGS 9.5 by our friends at Beckett!  Jim Markey and family, Jameson, Nicholas, Brianna and Zachary, took home a 1989 Score Troy Aikman rookie and a Bowman Chrome card of Chicago Cubs phenom Kris Bryant!

Thanks again to all those that contributed, attended or even sent good thoughts. Until next month (June 18th) I wish everyone the best!

See ya’ at the show!
